Experience
I would like to be a tutor because I recognize the ongoing need and would like to help. I tutored math students in high school and have conducted study groups for many of my psychology classes since I've been attending Texas A&M-Commerce. I have always done well in school, but I feel that my time as a college student has really helped me to develop much more effective study skills than I had previously acquired. I feel that tutoring would be a great way for me to pass my own skills on to a younger group of students so that they will be able to take those skills and apply them to all areas of their education. I am currently taking a course in education, and I feel that the concepts and teaching skills I learn through it will also help me to effectively educate. I believe my psychology training will also help. It has helped me to relate to others on a deeper level and to understand more of how we learn. Currently, I am working on my Honors Thesis project, which examines the combined effects of emotion and different methods of mental processing on the formation of true and false memories.

Hobbies
My education is extremely important to me. My academic interests include Psychology, Literature, History, Physiology, Philosophy, and Sociology. Outside school, I enjoy listening to music, reading, horror films, and just hanging out with my close friends. I have an awesome family, two very cool parents, an older brother, and a younger sister. I visit home most every weekend.
